What I Learnt From the Article Above-
That one of the main intentions of advergaming is the attract users to the website and allow them to interact in someway with brands. They are easily installable to websites, you can also often be paid for a having ads on your website/throughout your game.

I learnt that one form of advergaming is Revenue-Generating Advergame which consists of putting a game on their website that consist of one form of advertising and is designed to make the visitor continually returning to play this game thus a larger chance of the visitor noticing the products that are advertised.

Another form is Attention-Generating Advergame, the main objective of this is to raise awareness about things like global warming and politics. It is not necessarily designed for cash purposes but more about sharing knowledge and enjoying that while having a fun gaming experience.

The last form of advergaming is called Stealth Advergame, a good example of this would be the picture of the racecar in my last blog, this contains the white banner in the background. Another form would be a banner that runs along the side of the pitch in a Soccer game or along the court in a basketball game.

Advergames can also effect certain peoples opinion of a certain company or brand.
